Be careful what you Sext?

Most people today know how to text on their cell phones. I myself text several times a day as do most of my friends. Recently Tiger Woods was caught up in a sex scandal and a lot of proof came from "sexting". Sexting is texting just dirty and using sexual innuendo or sending dirty pictures to a friend. It may have been fun for Tiger at the time but it led to big big problems.

Many time I find my self accidentally texting the wrong person. What would happen if my girlfriend and my boss had the same name and I sent my boss a naked picture of myself. This would almost for sure get me fired from work and I definitely would not get a good recommendation from her. The other possibility is that she text it to someone else and then they text it to someone and then it is all over the internet. This could ruin my life as a working man. No one wants to hire a guy with naked pictures on the internet.

In a recent episode of Law and Order a 17 year old girl sent a guy friend a naked picture of herself and in turn the guy sent it to everyone in the school. Later the girl was charged with distributing child pornography because she was a minor.

You need to be careful what you are texting because mistakes happen and you never know who is watching. It is the same situation with Facebook. Many people put up pictures of them selves partying and drinking on Facebook. This is a public website and even though the picture might be private on your page it maybe public on others. Companies look at Facebook pictures to see what kind of a person they are hiring and pictures say a lot. As a college athlete my coaches check our Facebooks to see who was partying. We are all pretty careful about what goes up on the internet. Just do not let pictures and texts ruin a job opportunity or a good reputation.
