The HBO hit television show Entourage is a portrayal of Mark Wahlberg's life. He is supposed to be Vince the good looking big time Hollywood actor from Queens New York. He gets any girl he wants, gets in to all the clubs, and parties every night. He hired his best friend Eric as his manager and Turtle to be his some what of an assistant. I am sure that some things are made up but the television show makes it seem like Mr. Wahlberg actually lived this way. The group parties, drinks, and gambles with life nearly every night. As a college student I see these people partying and wish that was my life. Should I feel this way? Should these people be the ones that I look up to? I know that Mark Wahlberg has worked very hard and every movie that he has been in has been great. When I watch Entourage I see Vince or Mark Wahlberg as a "Man Whore". I know my parents would be very disappointed if I acted the way he does towards women and acted as arrogant as he does when a director does not offer him a job. When the movie Medeillan failed Vince through a fit freaked out and moved to an island somewhere. In a society when you fail you look at what went wrong and what can be fixed. Then you get back on your feet and forget about it. At least that is what you do where I come from. When I watch this show I try to pick things out that are actually something I heard about in Wahlberg's life. This is a very good show but it can be taken to seriously as well. In some of the readings we have talked about the images of celebrities and how they act. Even though it is just a T.V. show it is sort of like a documentary Wahlberg's life. If people watch this show they have to know that you can not party like this group does.
