Smiling Britney Spears Attends Court Hearing

Britney Spears went to court on Friday with her father for a hearing in her ongoing conservatorship case wearing a smile on her face. The judge wanted to see the pop star face-to-face for a progress review since her father took legal control of her affairs following her mental breakdown two years ago. The pop star who has always seem to be related to news other than her talents in recent years is making her come back in the entertainment industry. She has gone from a teenager sweet heart to a troublesome young woman to a grown up mother. There was a documentary made about her that talked about her childhood, her fame, career and personal life. It is clear that the public is much more interested in her personal affairs than her music. She is an unfortunate puppet of the popular culture where she was manipulated by those around her.

After all the troubles she had gone through, the star is working very hard to regain her fame and rebuild her reputation. She is working in every possible way to retain her popularity. Recently her lawyer has sought the court permission to auction off her 2008 MTV Video Music Awards dress to raise money for Haiti earthquake relief, as part of property no longer useful for her estate. Her donation was approved by the judge, which gave her an opportunity to show her good deeds. Britney Spears is just an example of many of the stars in today’s popular culture. To remain their highly glamorous and favorable status, not do they only have to show their talents, they are ought to be smart, intelligent, and socially aware. It leaves us the question to ask ourselves as fans and ordinary audiences are we expecting too much from them? Because it seems that whatever positive qualities that we likely to achieve, in many cases the ones we can’t achieve, we expect our celebrities to acquire and maintain them.
